Day 1 :Milngavie to Dryman

Hiked 12.48 miles, 4 hrs 46 minutes of hiking, 906 ft total ascent.

Started at about 7.40 and arrived at about 1pm.

Stopped for an early lunch at Oakwood garden center  – has a cafe with an amazing view.

Mike finished strong despite a recent knee injury. We had amazing sunny weather and blue skies, despite predictions of rain a week ago.

Staying at what claims to be the oldest licensed pub in Scotland in Dryman (The Clachan Inn)

There were an unbelievable number of spider webs everywhere – especially towards the start of the hike.

For much of the day we had amazing views of Dumgoyne.

Our first Scottish Loch

And there were lots of other wonderful views
